Turn one date column into YYYY-MM-DD. You choose whether a number pair is day/month or month/day. Times and impossible dates are left alone.

Instructions
- Drop a .csv file. Date normalization is already selected.
- Choose the date column and the order of the numbers in that column.
- Preview the cells that change and the values that are flagged.
- Apply only when the converted dates match the order you intended.
Example
The column is day/month/year.
when 02/01/2024 31/02/2024
02/01/2024 becomes 2024-01-02. 31/02/2024 stays, and the preview says it is not a real calendar date.
The order is your decision
01/02/2024 can be 1 February or 2 January. NovaToolora uses the order you select and does not guess from the country of the browser.
Year-month-day values such as 2024-03-04 stay as they are when they are already valid calendar dates.
What is not converted
A value with a time, including 2024-01-02T00:00:00Z, is flagged and kept. There is no time-zone conversion.
31/02/2024 is not a calendar date, so it stays. Identifiers such as 001 are not treated as dates.
Limitations
- Only one column is converted per preview.
- Leading or trailing spaces prevent a match. Trim whitespace first if the dates are padded.
- The result is a date text value. It is not a spreadsheet date serial number.
- CSV and .xlsx up to 32 MB. The download is CSV. Save .xls as .xlsx first.
