NovaToolora

About

NovaToolora is a browser tool for inspecting and cleaning CSV files. The cleaning runs on the device that opened the page.

What it does

You drop or choose a comma-separated file. NovaToolora reads it locally, shows the rows and column statistics, and lets you preview a cleaning plan before anything changes. You can apply that plan, undo it, reset to the file you opened, or download the table on screen.

The operations are trim whitespace, collapse repeated spaces, normalize headers, normalize dates, remove phone separators, remove empty rows, remove rows with missing values, check email syntax, remove exact duplicate rows, and remove duplicates by the columns you select. Each tool page explains the rule it starts with. Cells stay text, so leading zeros and identifiers are not converted into numbers.

Where a file goes

The browser reads the file you choose. CSV files of 256 KB or larger are parsed in a background thread on that same device. If the thread cannot start, parsing continues in the page. Excel files are read in the page. Nothing in that path sends the file contents to a server.

Files larger than 32 MB are refused before they are read. Empty files are refused too. A .xlsx workbook is read in the browser, one sheet at a time, and the download is still a CSV. Older .xls files are not opened. A download is built in the browser and saved by the browser. Refreshing the page clears the table.

The email verifier reads a CSV in the browser. A domain check sends the domain name, not the rest of the row, to this site for DNS. It does not send mail.

Opening a page still requests that page and its scripts from the host. Those requests do not include the CSV. The privacy policy describes requests, cookies, and analytics separately from file handling.
